Paddle boarding tips

Cold feet

For cold feet it may help to coat them with zincoxide. Your feet will hardly sweat. This keeps your feet dry and warm for longer.

Start on flat water

If the whole SUP experience is new to you it is wise to start on calm water. Fist practice your balance and dexterity. Once you have mastered this, you will see that you can also get along well on rougher water such as at sea.

Leash

Always use a leash while paddle boarding. Not just for safety, but it’s also ease in use. When you fall off your paddle board, the board shoots quite a bit below you. You keep it within reach with the leash so you don’t have to swim so far.

Don’t look at your feet

Sometimes you will tend to look down. However, you can lose your balance while looking down at your feet. Always look forward for the best balance.
