World Land Trust

World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats acre by acre. This charity has raised more than £25 million to purchase and protect more than 2,222,247 acres of threatened habitat in Africa, Asia, Central and South America. They pioneered the Buy an Acre concept of buying land for conservation, starting in 1989, and has, since then, funded ground-breaking habitat protection for more than 30 years, with an impressive track record of achievements.

World Land Trust has several projects, which consists of the following things: land acquisition, tree  planting,  assisted  natural  regeneration,  reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation and reserve management. With those different type of projects they are working on reaching their mission.

The mission of World Land Trust is to protect and sustainably manage natural ecosystems of the world. To conserve their biodiversity, with emphasis on threatened habitats and endangered species.

Whenever we learn about some social or environmental issue, as the aspiring changemakers that we are, our next question is: “What can we do to help?”

MOAI has made a donation to WLT because we want to make world a better place for everyone and we want to stand up for a better world.
